Alisa Elliott, OT/L
Alisa Elliott OT/L has been working with children since her years as a pro high school babysitter. She hails from both Michigan and Alaska where she has lived for 22 years. She went to Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo for her degree in occupational therapy that included a year at the University of Zimbabawe. As an occupational therapist she has worked with both adults and children. She started specializing in children after working with families in their homes through the Infant Learning Program in the Mat-Su Valley. Her interests in children include helping them manage their emotions, attention, motor coordination, and all the internal components that go into being as happy and self fulfilled as possible. She uses sensory integration, oral sensory-motor treatment, craniosacral therapy (www.upledger.com), TAMO, and NLP- the purposeful use of language- to reach desired outcomes for each child. She includes purposeful activities, activities of daily living, and developmental movement play in her treatment…..and has a whole heap of fun in the process.
